Our mares are all sired by outstanding Hanoverian stallions and, in the past few years, all our mares have undergone their Hanoverian Mare Performance Tests. For those uninitiated, this involves the mares completing a riding test, free jumping, and riding by a Test Rider at the age of 3 or 4 years.  The end result of these components gives a final score (the same as the stallions receive in their performance tests), which enables the owner/breeder to select a suitable stallion for the mare.  Together with the Hanoverian Stallion Yearbook, the Performance Test information is used to assist in selecting the right stallion for the right mare.  This is the selection criteria we use at Remi Stud, and what results in producing such exciting foals.
